MEET THE TEAM

Bootcamp Pilates trainers are highly qualified professionals from a wide range of fitness and sporting backgrounds, from yoga to rugby, physiotherapy to traditional Pilates. But before they start training our members, we make sure they complete our own thorough and industry-recognised training course. And it’s well worth noting that not everyone who starts the course makes it to the end.

While ensuring that trainers keep Pilates at the heart of their teaching, our in-house qualification gives them a firm foundation on which to build their wide range of individual training styles. So, whether you want tough love or easy-going encouragement, and whatever your training goals or fitness level, you’re bound to find a trainer to match.

    Qualifications: Personal Training, Bootcamp Pilates Dynamic Reformer Pilates, Classical Mat Pilates.
    Clients love Sapphire’s fun and energetic teaching style! Specialising in strength and conditioning, Sapphire Washington has a vast amount of experience helping ‘brides to be’ and post natal mummy’s to reach their goals and tone and condition their bodies.

    Benefiting from group sessions, and semi-private classes focusing on sculpting the glues, tightening the tummy and trimming the arms, they have all become extremely proud of their new bodies and are enjoying their newfound pilates lifestyles!

    Sapphires motto is: ‘Be unapologetically yourself! Everyone else is taken’. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and dancing, and her  favourite dynamic reformer exercise is the Saw and Wheelbarrow.

    Pelin Adlan, specialises Reformer Pilates, injury recovery and helping clients with disabilities.

    She, lives by the motto: ‘Fit is not a destination, it’s a way of life’ and has list of qualifications including: Level 3 Mat Pilates, Bootcamp Pilates Dynamic Reformer, Pre & Post Natal, Yoga.

    Her favourite dynamic reformer exercise is ‘flying lounges.’

    Under her expertise, Pelin has helped a client recover from a broken shoulder caused by skiing accident. They are now filled recovered and have regained full range of movement.

    Gemma Huston, specialises in making clients feel the burn! Her motto is: ‘Can you feel it burning? You’re welcome!’

    Alongside sharing her wisdom with clients and instructors, Gemma’s main focus is lengthening the short, tight muscles and tightening the hard to reach ones.

    She is a qualified: Fitness Tutor & Assesor, Level 3 Pilates, Personal Trainer, Pre & Post Natal, Arthritis Exercise Specialist, Nutrition Coach, Small Equipment Instructor, Associate Teacher of Dance, Advanced Power Plate Instructor, Water Fitness Instructor, Body Pump,  Hula Hoop Instructor

    Gemma’s favourite dynamic reformer exercise is the Plank, and in her free time she enjoys reading!

    Agi lives by the motto: ‘A healthy body is the home of a healthy spirit’. She specialises in increasing core stability, alongside toning and conditioning and has an extensive list of qualifications including: Level 3 Mat Pilates, Bootcamp Pilates Dynamic Reformer, Pre & Post Natal Pilates, Yoga and High Intensity Power Pilates.

    Her favourite dynamic reformer exercise is the Pike (although she loves them all!), and in her free time she enjoys working out and catching up on sleep!

    Under her expertise, clients enjoy becoming stronger, leaner versions of themselves.

    Qualifications: Bootcamp Pilates Dynamic Reformer, ACSM Personal Trainer, ISCA Boxing Cert, NASM Stretching Cert, Power Plate, TRX

    Asides from Pilates, Paris specialises in Strength Training, Boxing, High Intensity Training and combining Pilates with Yoga exercises. Originally from New York, he has trained clients for Boxing fights, Marathons and Triathlons and helped them recover from injuries such as knee ligaments and frozen shoulder.

    His favourite motto is: ‘Exercise has the ability to improve your Mind, Body and Spirit.

    In his free time, Paris also works as an Actor so he likes go to the Cinema and Theatre. He also likes to go to Music Gigs and of course train (Boxing, Running, Yoga, Wright Training and Reformer Pilates).

    Olitta’s speciality is building gluteal strength, and uses this knowledge to help her clients. One of her many success stories is that of a client who loved to run, but had a repetitive injury in her knee. Olitta helped her build her glute strength and hip mobility – and now the lucky client is free from pain! Her favourite exercises are anything that activates the obliques -like side planks.
    In her free time, Olitta likes to binge watch movies, work out and spend time with those she most cares about.
    Olitta has a Degree in Dance, a personal training qualification and is a dynamic reformer accredited by REP’s – her motto is ‘you’ll never know your limits until you push yourself to it’

    Laetitia’s specialty is in body mechanics and loves helping clients with their fitness know how. In classes, Laetitia will help you to truly understand how to position yourself and what to engage to get the most out of each exercise- she believes this builds mindful movement. Laetitia has seen many clients rapidly progress through their physical journeys by gaining knowledge and control of their workouts. Her love of Reformer Pilates stems in its versatility – why pick one move when you can do them all!
    She has Level 3 PT, is a dance instructor and master Kettle-bell Instructor. In her free time, Laetitia loves to dance! Her motto is ‘everything is core’.

    Teaching great form and technique is really important to Vicky. She says clients start by building a good foundation which helps not only in class but in all other aspects of their life. She has Level 3 PT, Level 3 Mat Pilates and is trained in Dynamic Reformer Pilates. Her favourite reformer exercises are any type of lunges. “It’s always good to get those glutes burning!” She spends her free time running after her small children and indoor cycling (when she gets the time). Her motto is sitting is the new smoking. So get moving.

    Fiona loves to see clients come to understand precision and control and the subsequent improvements they make in their ability to move. She has a BSc(Hons) in Physiology, YMCA level 3 Matwork Pilates and training in Powmak full studio equipment and BCP dynamic reformer. Her favourite Dynamic Reformer exercise is snake, because it has so many variations and is always a challenge.

    In her free time you can find Fiona doing even more pilates, strongman classes and cycling. When asked what her motto is she said ‘I would like to say biceps don’t grow on trees as that makes me laugh but probably you can always do more than you think you can’.

    With a natural passion for fitness and following her curiosity, Dayra tried Pilates for the first time in 2012. Dayra quickly fell in love with Pilates, and decided to combine a Pilates career with her demanding role as a mum. Dayra goes by a “feel good and feel challenged” approach with her classes, which aim to provide a whole-body workout and help you discover your own strength. A major fan of the plank position and its variations, if you’re looking to build a rock-hard core then Dayra’s classes are a must.

    Cassie is both Mat Pilates and bootcamp reformer Trained.

    Her fitness journey started in California whilst living in Los Angeles. When she moved back to the U.K. our LA fitness girl turned this love of fitness into a career. She competed in various fitness competitions, excelling in her field. She then used that knowledge to help others achieve their fitness goals as a personal trainer.

    After a minor injury, she had no choice but to leave the gym alone for a while. That’s when she was led into the world of Pilates. Cassie used Pilates to continue her training whilst working towards overcoming her injury and absolutely fell in love!

    Cassie’s learning never stops, she does at least 4-5 Pilates classes a week and is always devising new routines to keep her clients guessing. She brings sunny California to each of her classes. Cassie’s classes can be summed up as High energy, dynamic and most importantly, fun.

    Cassie’s favourite exercises on the reformer involve glutes and core. Expect luscious legs when she’s finished with you.

    Nicknamed the “smiling sadist”, David’s classes are tough, targeted and fun, whilst his extensive music playlist will undoubtedly help you push yourself to your limits! With a level 3 PT and sports massage qualifications, David’s favourite move is the Shoulder Bridge, which mobilises the spine whilst targeting the glutes and hamstrings.

    Barry Jung is half-American, half-German, with the discipline of the latter nationality and the easygoing attitude of the former. A professional dancer, he performed all over the world in jazz, ballet and contemporary before becoming a Level 3 personal trainer. Barry enjoys cooking, cinema, theatre and ballet in his free time. He brings a dancer’s grace and method to Pilates classes, whose mood and particularly music offer a unique opportunity to both work out and chill out.

    Elliot is the Owner and Head Trainer of Bootcamp Pilates Fulham. He has coached over 10,000 hours of sports and fitness training since qualifying in 1991. Elliot most recently trained with Polestar Pilates and is able to work with you on 1-1 level in case you need even more care and attention and have specific rehab goals in mind. His classes are always fun and he knows how to motivate you to really focus on your technique.

    Ben Andrews is a Level 3 personal trainer with a degree in sport and exercise Science plus qualifications in spin, exercise to music, circuit training and power plate. Currently completing a Level 4 qualification in lower-back pain, his ambition is to set up his own personal training business and specialise in helping lower-back-pain sufferers. Ben is a keen footballer and tennis player who also enjoys weightlifting and all kinds of cardiovascular exercise. He strongly believes that improving flexibility and core strength improves everyone’s ability to either play sport or carry out day-to-day tasks.

    Harry Rowland is a former professional rugby player and still competes at a high level. He might seem a little intimidating at first, but is always fun during the session. So, expect a tough, honest, down-to-earth approach and the occasional one-liner. Harry is always very approachable for help, advice and exercise corrections, giving and expecting 100% commitment in his classes.

    James Woodhouse has a laid-back – if highly active – approach to life, believing that if you take care of your health, everything else will follow. Ever since he was an overactive kid he’s wanted to keep moving, taking part in everything from football to hiking. James teaches the notion that the human body should be able to function for more than 100 years, making all the niggles that can appear in early middle age totally preventable. By practicing movement with good technique, he thinks we can live a pain-free life – and even attain that much-wanted six-pack.

    Lucy Thirsk served for 15 years in the Army and is therefore no stranger to the “bootcamp” ethos. Having seen operational service in the likes of Iraq, she retired from the military due to illness but was determined to regain fitness and muscle definition. To do so in a controlled way, Lucy became a Level 3 Mat Pilates instructor, and was so impressed by her own recovery that she is now dedicated to helping others. Her military background means she likes working her clients hard, but her experience will keep you within your limits – making her classes fun but intensive. She loves running, keeping fit and broadening her expertise at Pilates workshops.

    With ten years Pilates teaching experience and a range of qualifications under her belt, Karmen (nicknamed “Karmensitta”) has trained a wide range of clients from professional fighters to expecting mums. Karmen is strict yet patient, specialising in posture correction, muscle imbalances reduction, lower back pain management and flexibility. Her years of expertise means Karmen’s classes are creative, tough and dynamic, and will always leave you wanting more. Karmen’s favourite move on the reformer is the twisted pike, which strengthens side abdominals, obliques, deltoids and lats.

    Nicholas is a well rounded, down-to-earth Kiwi. He has been involved in the fitness industry for 10 years and brings with him a wealth of qualifications in exercise prescription, soft tissue therapy and personal training.

    He has a breadth and wealth of experience gained in some of New Zealand and Australia’s best-regarded health clubs, personal training studios, massage clinics, and with a number of sporting teams. New to London, Nick is intent on bringing his considerable health and fitness skills to the big city.

    He possesses excellent soft tissue skills and has a particular interest in functional training. His passion is helping people return from injury and is an ideal trainer for any client with issues relating to pain, postural and movement education. That being said, he is equally happy using his skills and knowledge to push clients on to new levels of strength and fitness.

    Aside from his continued drive to continue improving his skills and knowledge to help clients maximise the benefit of their sessions, Nick’s great love’s are typically antipodean: travelling and rugby. So when he’s not busy helping people change their bodies for the better, you will most likely find him travelling through Europe or watching his beloved All Blacks get the better of everyone else!

    Lucy Potucek has a broad sporting background in ice skating, gymnastics, trampolining and skiing, among other disciplines. With a degree in physiology, she went slightly off-piste for a while to work in technology sales, before being drawn back to extreme sports such as Krav Maga, Parkour and climbing. She loves working her clients extremely hard at both Pilates classes and Barre, and motivating them to get the results they want – while keeping them smiling along the way.

    With a highly sought after REPs (Register of Advanced Professionals) Level 4 Advanced Diploma, Sam has a broad range of qualifications from GP Referrals, to Running Technique, to Kettle Bells. A specialist in pre-and postnatal and Lower Back Pain, Sam mixes it up in her classes by using a variety of exercises, making her classes tough, yet fun and approachable. Her favourite move is the Surfer, as it “works your core, thoracic spine, the upper back, opens the chest, and you can imagine you’re surfing in the warm tropical sea as you do it. Very uplifting on a cloudy Monday!”
